It was not a directive from the committee. If you have issues about the way
people feel the list should be run, please post something constructive about
it, rather than flaming Tony or the committee.

That's right. I too think the article is perfectly relevant for this list. I
had hoped your question was slightly more general and constructive than
simply a defense of this particular email.
