Ok So far this is that I have accomplished. firstly I have logged on the the ADSL modem, entered my details into the Account Configuration area. Connected the modem to the ISP. Installed DHCP Common and DHCP Client configured eth2 to run as a DHCP client (this is where I was going wrong) All I have to do now is direct traffic.
Thank you all for your help sorry I was a little vague in the beginning Also I have found that with iinet.net.au, you don't need rp-pppoe the dls-300 modem works as a bridging modem. I will try and play around with routes.
