Hi All,
I am about to purchase an Apple iBook and I have been having a quick
look around at the posibility of using Aqua with X11 and be able to run
linux programs. I know that there is the fink project which looks
awesome, and I believe that you have to install fink, XDarwin and either
OroborosX or Apples X11 and you can then use the Aqua window manager and
Adam
Using x11 and open office and amaya.
Works well but the interface is crude compared to aqua (no anti aliasing or transparency). If you are willing to put up with some idiosyncacies it is worth running. Especially if you do'nt want to shell out for microsoft office.
