I've been using Apple's X11 implementation. Other than a few annoying `bugs'
if you're using strange keyboards (like a real JIS keyboard), its actaully
been pretty good.

I didn't need to install oroborusx or xdarwin - I presume they're just other
X servers for OS X.

As for Look and Feel, Apple's X11 only covers windows decorations (ie:
Quartz/Aqua act as the Window manager), its still up to the X11 application
itself how it wants to render its controls.

I typically use X11 whenever I'm writing un*x code since it means I can
use an X11 version of emacs and it'll behave like it does on every other
X11 platform I use emacs on.

As for performance, it seems adequate - I'm using a poor old G3 350 with a
about 320MBs of RAM and its performacne seems no different from the rest of
OS X. :)

YMMV.
