The age old discussion on subscriber only or not: SLUG is not and should remain not (in my opinion - actually I'd rather not see that discussion again). I suspect the recent increase in spam is to do with the change over of server. Give the filter some time and it will decrease - assuming the filter is on of course (as the SLUG spam headers are no longer present in messages).
