Agree, Cyrus' 'sealed' mail store is a feature, not a flaw. Cyrus also provides delayed expunge, SIEVE, and per-folder expiring of messages. These are incredible useful in corporate environments as without them it is pretty hard to have a reasonably enforceable data- retention policy (a requirement in just about every modern country). > If you want direct access to the spool without going through the IMAP or > POP server you should specify that, because mostgroupwaresolutions[1] > don't allow that. I'm an OpenGroupware developer, so my opinion is obvious. We are currently working on making sure CalDAV (Sunbird) support is working smoothly. And a new [commercial] Outlook connector is under development (pre-release soon) for any server that supports GroupDAV. > Building your own solution out of disparate parts /sounds/ easy, but it > isn't. Things like calendering are *superficially* simple but as you get into them become really complicated. It is irritating to those of us who work on really Open Source groupware servers to have products like Zimbra and Scalix constantly injected into the discussion of Open Source groupware servers. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
