All I can say is keep goin SB, they have been here for us
since we started using them just this AB freezing problem that supposedly the
other atmel users have fixed so maybe it's the same problem who
knows.
But besides that the AB's are working perfect except for a
freeze every so often sporadically.
What my problem now is I have like 75 people pointed to 3
APPO's on 1 tower all different channels all omni (I know bad choice im
switching them to all sector's soon) but recently in the last 3 days I am
seeing EXTREMELY heavy packetloss on all the radio's but not my ATM 5.8ghz
network that comes through this repeater as well. So my question is , NO THIS
IS NOT A SB PROBLEM as far as I can tell because ei tried restarting them all.
What could cause this all of a sudden, adding toomany customers right now the
numbers are 19,25,28 (it goes up cause some people turn there teletronics off
during the night for whatever reason there weird) or noise or interference or
what I'm just now sure. A GSM tower went up about 200' infront of our tower
we're at top of the hill (600' tall) and the tower I figured wasn't active
didn't see any equipment but it DID go up around the same time as problems
started.

For my full time job I do a lot of T1 circuits and we
do a lot of crimping
in the field, at every cell site
we crimp our own and most demarcs are punch
down
blocks.

That is correct they do use an RJ-11 in Telco Demarc boxes
outdoors, but
bear in mind the Telco installers are
never expected to crimp the plug
on. It is factory
installed and sealed where the wire meets the
connector and only the pins are exposed to the humidity. When one
of
these things is suspected of being bad they toss it
and a new Demarc box
is installed. Expensive but idiot
proof.
