Your signal is nice and stable. The link quality is bouncing. That's probably interference or multipath.
does it seem to corrispond to traffic on the system? What happens when you change channels? You are picking up a LOT of ap's. What anntenna is on the client side? Any way you can change polarity etc? AND you are waaayyyyyyy too damn hot on that link! Try turning the antennas 180* away from each other and see what happens. If that helps, go get some 15ish db panel antennas and maybe even 50' of lmr240 coax to trim off some signal.... Let me know if that helps. Of list, I'm wayyyy behind again. Oh yeah, one more thing. Please do NOT attach pictures like that. Not everyone has a broadband connection. Save them to a web site and post the links. laters, marlon ----- Original Message ----- From: "dennys" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, July 30, 2003 7:47 PM Subject: [smartBridges] up down link quality with appo troubleshooting question > our Wireless (in site 1) > Antenna : Klinkert Unidirectional 24 dBi > Type : APPO > Firmware : 1.4j.8 > APPO Power : 17.5 dBm > Cable Lost : 2 dBm > ESSID : JAM-SHD > Operational Mode : Client Bridge > IP : 10.99.88.1 > Regulatory : MKK1 > Channel : 4 --> the best ping we get if we use this channel different than Parent > RTS/CTS : 2437 > Preamble : Short > Other Setting : default > > our Wireless (in site 2) > Antenna : Klinkert Unidirectional 24 dBi > Type : APPO > Firmware : 1.4j.8 > APPO Power : 17.5 dBm > Cable Lost : 2 dBm > ESSID : JAM-SHD > Operational Mode : Access Point > IP : 10.99.88.2 > Regulatory : MKK1 > Channel : 14 > RTS/CTS : 2437 > Preamble : Short > Other Setting : default > > Distance between 2 our wireless +/- 3 Km > Another wireless detected by our Site 1 +/- 8 Wireless > > Question : > 1. why our link quality up down and not stable ? > 2. how can we make it more stable ? > 3. is our wireless link quality interference with other wireless ? > 4. why our wireless in site 1 (client bridge mode) detect another > good link quality from neighbour wireless except that parent > wireless in site 2 ? > 5. is link quality up down as shown in graphic will stable if we > use amplifier ? > 6. if we must add amplifier, can we just at it in our parent wireless > in site 2 ? > > thank's for your help, because we want to make it more stable and we > are very very very interest to use your smartBridges product for all > our WISP enviroment...
