Sevak,

Do you do normal ping to the aPPO, I mean without specifying the buffer size? Can you ping the client machine instead and what is the result you get? Setting RTS to 1 require every packet to have Clear To Send signal before sending. Have you tried with 256 or 512? Is the result better or worst?

Subject: [smartBridges] APPO FW upgrade status

Alex, Seeni,

Just wanted to update you on the issues we've been having with the APPO units slow speed.  As I stated in another email, after the new firmware was put in again on Saturday (early morning so the units stayed cool) the speed was dramatically improved.  (RTS set to 1 on CPE, Frag Thresh turned off on APPO.)  Tested with only 1 CPE so far (will add on the rest of the customers when I'm sure things are ok).  Re-tested today (Tuesday) and all is still well, except for 1 problem:

If I ping the APPO, I get many dropped packets sometimes, and othertimes it is ok.  I'm using the airNIC right now but will try it with airBridge on Thursday if I get my order in by then.  RSSI and LQ seem ok, so I don't know what the issue may be.  Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Sevak
