No, just on the infrastructure equipment. This link gives good instructions on finding the right MTU for your network. http://kb.linksys.com/cgi-bin/om_isapi.dll?clientID=320253&QuestionText=MTU& SelectName1=&advquery=%5bs%5d%5bRank%2c%2050%3a%5bSum%3a%20MTU%5d%5bMerge%3a %20%5bThesaurus%3a%20MTU%5d%5d%5d&infobase=linksysrev.nfo&record={408}&softp age=IKW_ENU_JDocView
Sorry, I know it will be broken. You can either patch it together or go to linksys.com / support / knowledgebase / search for "MTU" -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Support(at)inet2000.com Sent: Friday, August 15, 2003 11:18 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [smartBridges] New SB Firmware You're talking about setting her computer's MTU? - Todd Chamberlain From: "Tom Haynes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Try setting the MTU on all units to 1492. Would the graph do what I describe - dropping to zeros for a second or two with zero data transfer during that time? I've just had a thought that maybe it's crashing while transmitting, since the downloads are generally OK, but uploads can be either OK or non-existent. Also, when the graph lines go to zero, the other screens that show the associated AP go blank (the form fields clear out) for a sec as well, and then re-populate with the AP / SSID / MAC etc. - Todd Chamberlain ----- Original Message ----- From: "sB Tech Support" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, August 14, 2003 6:17 PM Subject: RE: [smartBridges] New SB Firmware The link status usually tells us it is interference or noise in the wireless link. Is the RSSI stays consistence? Try changing to other channel. Do you use Long Preamble? If I'm doing a ping during this time, I see an timeout during the drop-out, and then they'll resume once the graph jumps back up. I don't know if this is the way the graph normally handles packet loss or adaptive rate shifting or what. It's just a frustrating thing for the customer, who has a link that works perfectly 8 miles out for two days, and then they get < 1K uploads for three hours. - Todd Chamberlain From: "The Wirefree Network" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > The heat related issues that one batch of equipment had caused the unit > to lose association.
