That is correct all settings remain the same ;-) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gloria Vester" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, August 17, 2003 11:02 AM Subject: Re: [smartBridges] APPO problems
So if I upgrade the firmware, the IP address and other settings will not change on the APPO from what it is currently? I am downloading the upgrade now. If it works, it might eliminate one tower climb, if not, we are going to have to climb anyway. One question, though. When you do a firmware upgrade, does everything go back to factory default? If so, then we have to climb anyway because the IP will go back to a 192.x.x.x subnet which I can't talk to because my backhaul is on my public IP block, so if an APPO goes back to factory default, we have to tower climb to reset the IP. The flakiness does seem to happen if you change ANYTHING. It seems if we change a channel or any other configuration, they lose their minds and have to be power cycled. I am beginning to seriously doubt the decision to go with all smartBridges.
