I would think that in most cases we would know before installing a unit
whether it was going to be an Access point, client bridge, wireless bridge
or repeater and preconfigure the major settings with the correct
information. To chastise them for not setting up their configuration screens
to fit your needs when you haven't even thought out your network topography
seems a bit unfair.

Smartbridges definitely has some problems, but maybe some of those problems
are from trying to please too many different people and make their equipment
a "one size fits all" device. Personally I would like to see them stop
trying to please everyone and go back and get the core functions working
again.
