Anyone
know of a good remover for the stuff besides sitting there trying to
pull/peal/scrape it off?

It's much easier to remove a layer of electrical tape from your antenna/ap than wrestling with a bunch of "gorilla snot".

1 thin layer of standard electrical tape
1 thin layer of mastic (gorilla snot)
1 thin layer of standard electrical tape
Works in just about every situation and is easier to get off of
the connector later.
