Yes, unthrottled you should be pulling at least 2-2.5 meg.
All of my backhauls are Teletronics Xi-1500s plugged into
the Zonet (el cheapo) switches and from the farther tower
I'm able to pull down 2.5 megabit. That's through 2 switches,
4 radios, the Zonet 24 port switch at the NOC, the MikroTik
router, into another Zonet 24 port switch, into the other
MikroTik router, yet another Zonet 24 port switch and finally
to the web server. :-)

HMM I am using the D-lknk one and I have got decent results with that I had a remote pop / client pulling 1.5 one day so I know its not a problem with the switch? but then again maybe it is and thats why I can pull more then that..

NetGear 5 port 10/100 switch
Zonet 5 port 10/100 switch
Linksys 5 port 10/100 switch
Hawking 5 port 10/100 switch

Linksys 8 port 10/100 hub
Hawking 8 port 10/100 hub

ALL with the same result.

The worst was the Hawking 8 port hub. As soon as the ABO
starting talking to anything else, the collision light was
on almost solid.

What are you currently using for a switch??

Can someone recommend an easy to find, and relatively
cheap hub or switch that the AB Ethernet port will play
nicely with?

I've tracked down the problem of our speed decrease as
being the switches we are using. I've now tried 3 different
types of hub and switch with the same (or worse) results.

Basically what I did was plug the laptop into the hub/switch
with nothing else plugged into it but the radio. Then did a
speed test. The result was between 450-600Kbps.

I pulled the hub/switch and plugged the radio directly into
my laptop which has an auto sense 10/100mbit Linksys USB
Ethernet adapter, and did the speed test. The results were
between 900-1000Kbps.

A list of known compatible switches or hubs that don't
compromise the throughput would be great.

Thanks.
