Hi Homer Parker,
Yes, in the wireless bridge option there is no site survey and link
status option available and we are unable to include this function in
the WB mode.
However, the best way to test the signal strength is to configure as
AP-CB mode combination and test the link status.
Once you have confirmed with this result, then you can go ahead and
configure as a point to point wireless bridges.
To make sure that WB mode is working, please check that both units are
set to Wireless Bridge mode -point to point, input the Mac address of
the opposite unit and configure on the same channel. Then PING and test
the link from the both end.
Best regards,
Seeni

If we're asking, how about a way to manage them from Linux ;) I
was out
looking at the SB products at another ISP... As he was showing me the
setup, and available options, SimpleMonitor locked up on his laptop...
Locked up the APPO... Not a good result, took a power cycle for the APPO
to come back to life :( Just an idea.. A simple text interface available
via ssh (as long as it's not as convoluted as the Cisco 340 ;) would
suit
me just fine.. Cross platform, and could still use GUI utils if you
wanted
as we have now via SNMP... Another plus would be, you don't always have
the GUI utils with you, but a quick download of an ssh client (there are
free clients for about evey OS out there), and you're managing the
units..
Again just an idea from someone just getting into the SB products
(configured my backhaul and AP here in the office last night)...
I do have a question ;) I setup the backhauls as wireless
bridges.. I
didn't see a way to link test that setup, what did I overlook?
