With the cost of the power (more batteries and solar panels) this scheme is
nuts...the best you can hope for is 70-80% efficiency from the invertor, so
you are throwing away 20% there, plus the conversion in the power supplies
for the equipment....another 20% hit.  Right off the bat you have thrown
away half your power.

Pick equipment that will run off the 12V battery....this includes the indoor
SmartBridges, both Netgear and Linksys make 12V switches, and as I recall
Trango gear will run on 12V if you keep the cat5 short.
