The restrictions on the tower depend on height, distance from an airport,
local zoning, local ordinances, as well as state and county.

Here, for instance, if I am out of town, and don't build a tower over 199
feet, I have almost no regulation.

A 60 or 80 foot guyed cheap tower costs minimal and isn't regulated much....
here.

I was looking at all the costs for building a tower just to get to 1 point.
To legally build a tower for commercial use in the US is quite high a $2000
tower done legally would cost 15-20k. To legally do it every thing has to
signed by Engineers, Geo survey, foundation design,etc.....
Using 900Mhz to get to the point I need I no longer need the tower, just a
3 foot roof mount will now work, no FAA,FCC paperwork, no Geo survey no
foundation design no county approval, no major headaches.
Ouch to the company with a tower that did not do this when a problem
arises and Insurance and local, state, and federal gov. gets involved.
