I ordered Comcast last year to try it out. 100% bulletproof. I think it was out once during a storm for 15mins. Scarey.
Verizon. I ordered their DSL as soon as it became available to my house so I could dump ComaCast. I ordered it online, had modem next day and a letter telling me it would be ready within 10 days. I got an automated call at 8:30am the next morning saying "Hello, this is Verizon DSL calling to let you know that your service has been activated and is now ready to use." Plugged it in, worked first shot. I had to chat (online) with them about something. Got someone in 30 seconds. Fixed problem within 3 mins. This is when I realized things have changed. I was very impressed. The fact is that these cable and phone morons spent the money to become good. When Comcast is billing 300million dollars a month just for Internet service, you gotta think they want this to work properly. My little brother constantly torments me about how fast his cable modem is in NJ. I should have beat him more when we were kids. I read somewhere that less than 17% of the US is able to get broadband or something. We just gotta find the 83% of the people who can't get it and clean house. === Rick Kosick StarLinX Internet Service ----- Original Message ----- From: "Blazen Wireless" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, November 15, 2003 6:14 PM Subject: Re: [smartBridges] Love to hate Comcast > But you know what all my clients here hate cable and or DSL for the plain > fact it breaks most the time and getting something fixed is a pain in the > ass they hate call tress and talking to some person in china or India trying > to trouble shoot something the know nothing about half the time. > > Customer service is my niche and I give people 100% service you have to I > have got so many clients from just calling back or answering the phone when > they call me for info or a problem if they should have one.
