You may not hate them now... but when your customers start calling you with:
"Hi, I'd like to cancel my account with you because I can get unlimited
calling in the US and Canada, 200 TV channels, and Internet at 5Mbps for
only 69.00 per month with my cable company"
...then you'll hate 'em. Especially when you realized that 'your' gov't
put them into this monopoly position, with 'your' tax dollars. Hey, maybe
the cable company is hiring?
Does anyone really think that the cable companies won't soon focus on
SPAM, Viruses, etc... all the things that we tend to think that they can't
handle and that customers will pay us for?
Two years ago I thought that we all had the businesses to chose from
because most businesses were not wired for cable. The average house spends
less than 75.00/month with cable. The average business can spend over
$200.00. Do the math... they know there's tons of money in businesses.
There's tons of power in having a proprietary connection to homes and
businesses. Only the cable company has this. Bummer :-(
