Here's how I see it...

Its like the old days when you could see a difference between a
PentiumII/90MHz PC and a 120MHz. Now days, if you have a 1.3GHz and a
2.7GHz, you really don't see the difference unless you really stress the
system.

Speed is no longer an issue once you're over 3Mbps. The losers that sit
there and measure their speed all day are the ones that are wow'd, but other
than them... nobody really cares. Example, Verizon is offering $34.95/DSL.
They don't tell you that you may get only 768k and someone else might get
1.5M. Its just 34.95.

This where I see Comcast making a mistake. They retaliated against the DSL
price drop with doubling their speed. In "Marketing 101" you're taught
"never give the customer a discount, instead, give them more for their
money". I think most people, in this case, just want fast. 1.5M, 3M, who
really cares... ya know?

In fact, I am seeing many people remaining with us just because the Propel
Accelerator makes their web browsing faster. Money, its all about money for
most people.

The one good thing I've learned is that the first man in usually wins. In
other words... to sway a cable customer away it would have to be for good
reason. Speed won't do it, price will.
