We do have something else in our favor, if we learn to use it... we are small... we can, if we choose to, implement new exciting/useful technologies (i.e video-on-demand/VOIP/video surveillance/etc.) within days or weeks. Larger orgs, like Time Warner, Comcast or the Bells, take that long just to schedule a meeting to talk about such things. We can beat them to market on most technologies almost every time.

If you read my post, you'll see that I was responding to someone who is counting on consumers hating cable and dsl's customer service. Point is these days, one simply picks up the phone, orders cable/dsl, the "modem" arrives the next day, it's self-installed, and it just works. In the "olden days" you could easily sell wireless over DSL because DSL was just crappy.
