SaltStack is very good on Linux. Somewhat new to Salt myself but very much
like it so far with Vagrant, with OpenStack on Linux distros.

Their formulas (take a look at formulas and pillars) help make installation
and configuration of packages quite seamless and convenient in pulling from
Git etc.

They have really responsive and knowledgeable GoogleGroup team as well.
