I have the port hooked up via a null-modem cable and USB-serial adapter to my Mac, using screen as a terminal. There is no VGA output so I'm pretty sure the kernel has the correct console config, but for whatever reason it's not working. I don't want to waste your time with this -- I thought it might be helpful but since this board is so minimalist, it's not a good target for SmartOS anyway.
