I have a bit of concern about going forward with the newer version if we know it breaks some hardware. After getting this into SmartOS, I intend to get it into illumos as well. The board that you are using may be more suitable for some illumos installations. Regarding the F1-A to send a break, I had forgotten that shift-prtscrn should also to the same. Maybe give that a try before giving up. If anyone else has similar hardware and can help out with getting to the bottom of this, your effort would be most appreciated.
