Thanks for making the effort to test.  I have a bit of concern about going
forward with the newer version if we know it breaks some hardware.  After
getting this into SmartOS, I intend to get it into illumos as well.  The
board that you are using may be more suitable for some illumos
installations.

Regarding the F1-A to send a break, I had forgotten that shift-prtscrn
should also to the same.  Maybe give that a try before giving up.

If anyone else has similar hardware and can help out with getting to the
bottom of this, your effort would be most appreciated.
