I ran a SmartOS computenode on a https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/atom/A2SDi-8C-HLN4F.cfm for a few years. Sadly it died earlier this year due to the hardware bug in the Avaton series CPU's.
Other that, the board and atom CPU performed decently. Not as powerfull compared to a 2x Ivy Bridge based board. But well enough given the hardware specs.
