Open. I've never taken up any of the offers and they don't really interest
me. Thinking about the amount of info I get from other forums, I see the
value in having them open.

Finding a way to have the archives open and have the offers available for
members who want them (a mailing list people can opt to subscribe to?) would
seem to be the best solution.
