Yep phone them up and ask when you will be put on the platinum  
priority club. They should review it every 6 months. This means you  
can upgrade 5 months earlier than your contract expiration.

Luckily for me work pays all my iPhone bills as I have to have one to  
develop on as well as for travelling :-)
