I have just transferred some HD clips from my Sony HDR-SR1E video camera to my Mac Pro for editing in Final Cut Pro. Can anyone tell me why clips that occupied 11GB on the camera now occupy nearly 100GB on the computer? Does FCP add something (large!) to all the clips? My films are so hungry for hard disk space that I will shortly run out!
