Pages is the word processing/page layout element of Apple's iWork  
suite of applications. The iWork suite is £69 from the Apple Store.

PS. Yes I remember those SE30 days too. My first Mac was a Performer  
400, complete with 4MB of RAM and a 40MB hard disk. Happy, but  
somewhat primitive days,
