I have just remembered that when I bought my iMac I tried to connect the printer wirelessly and failed so used USB instead. It it possible that when syncing the imac had downloaded wrong information to the ipod? I will try changing the channel and then try changing the security. Thanks for all the suggestions that are coming in.
