Hey Mark,

You are correct in being able to connect from your Virgin router (please
turn of the wi-fi on this one) and then connect an ethernet cable to your TC
(preferably in the WAN though) and you'll be able to create a wireless
network with 'Double NAT' which shouldn't be an issue for a local home
network.

I would recommend that you try to place the Virgin modem in bridge so it's
modem only and then connect from one of the virgin LAN-ports to the TC
WAN-port and then create a network, this way you wont have to change
anything in the TC at all.

I wouldn't recommend having two wireless basestations close to eachother
competing about the airspace, then I would recommend getting one of the dual
band time capsules/airport extremes as they can create two networks
themselves and in my experience are very much stronger than the older
models.
