Adam Actually I've just solved it. There's a search box in mail above the top message. You have to swipe down to see it and then you have the option of marking for deletion or moving. Was that there before? I had been hoping for a delete all as mail on my phone is just for when I'm out and about and it's a pain having to mark each one to delete but the threaded feature does make it marginally better.
