NIcklas,
Looks like Sam was correct (as ever) after all with his suggestion of
caching issues. I've gone back to look at some emails that were
previously screwed up and now they're correct. For some reason however
it's taking an inordinately long time (and multiple connections) to
cache some emails. It's still weird but the problem has kind of gone
away.

That is weird, do we have any pattern such as exchange servers or
similar?

ISP is Bouygues Telecom. Not all mail is effected. Yours via the
group for instance looks the same as usual. As does anything sent
to myself.

dongle? This sounds weird though. Is it ok if you sene yourself à
mail?

Hi Phil
Could be that Mail hasn't finished caching the attachment, is
anything happening in activity viewer? It's in the Window menu.

All,
Since decamping to France and working on a MacBook (with a 2G/3G
dongle) I'm getting odd email behaviour (OS X Mail) – emails
that appear to have attachments but don't, emails that don't
appear to have attachments but do, and lots of emails with weird
text encoding.
Presumably it's not that the World out there has decided in a
fit of envy to send me screwed up emails but that either I have
something in OS X Mail setup inappropriately, or that the
Bouygues Telecom email server is screwing things?
Anybody?
