you have a mobile me account so if set to use as imap service, simply delete
all the mail and app if must and run a sys pref check with disk util,
reinstall app and let it grab all your mail freshly of the server again

to check if its your app or a mail server gone bonkers you can always login
to me.com and check there if your emails are ok or not
