Dear Sam, Thank you for your explanation, and your help.
It does offer me to reuse a previous backup (I'm on 10.6.5): but not the right one. It offers my wife's machine's backup. I don't want to damage her backup, and I can't find a way to access other backups (ie mine). Any suggestion? Thanks a lot, Ranulph On 28 Nov 2010, at 21:33, Sam - MacAmbulance wrote: > Hi Ranulph > > As your sick mac's probably had a new logicboard, it's seen as a new mac. > Usually if you're running OS 10.6 it'll ask to reuse the previous backup. > 10.5 needs a little more technical wizardry to reuse a backup. > > Regards > > Sam > MacAmbulance > Providing affordable Apple & PC services > > Sam Mullen > 07747 778022 > http://www.macambulance.co.uk > [email protected] > > > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Sussex Mac User Group" group. > To post to this group, send an email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected]. > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/smug?hl=en-GB. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
