Hi, I am having occasional problems (maybe once or twice a day) with freezes
on my iMac. The only way to get out of it appears to be to shut down with
the power button on the back and restart.

On the worst occasions (much less often fortunately) it freezes up and the
whole screen becomes a pale grey blank!

OSX 10.6.5 / iMac 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I don't know what to do to access a "report" of what was happening at the
time of the freeze.

I am running "Rapport" a free security program recommended by Santander bank
and am a bit suspicious that it may be causing the problem.

The last time it happened all I was doing was scrolling through sale items
on Amazon's website and nothing else was running on the Mac that I was aware
of. Can anyone advise?

Thank you.

David
