I know others have had problems with Mail in 10.6. Apple are in denial about the fact that elements of mail do not function properly in 10.6. Just like they were in denial about reception problems on iPhone 4.
Could I ask you to lean on Apple? This really is getting me down with delays in receipt of emails. I have 35 email addresses all with different passwords (with some common parts to it) in an attempt to try a different tack. Before this change all passwords were the same for groups of domain names for example ethical.me.uk. I can get all my emails on my eMac but that is not the point. You buy an expensive laptop and you expect it to function properly!! Apple have got me to delete the cache with a few other tricks but when I input all my emails again (35 of them) the same problem crops up.
