Over the past 4 days my recently totally repaired (virtually every part was replaced 2 or 3 times) 17" unibody has taken to generating a black screen. Moving the pointer, hitting the brighter button doesn't help. I can't tell if the machine is on or off, so I reboot, but sometimes it dies on reboot and I have to do it again.
The energy saver is off, screensaver is on, but the screen has darkened while I was using it and I moved the pointer. in case it had gone over the hotspot. Before I take it back to Mac Hospital, has anyone a good idea? At least it's backed up, both on time machine and on a freestanding disc.
