I seem to find myslef in some sort of loop. According to http://www.whois.com
, my wife’s hotel website is hosted by http://www.globalwebcity.com.
They are apparently based in Portslade, near Brighton. However it is
proving impossible to contact them. There are two telephone numbers I
have managed to find online: 01273 704975 and 0870 235 2121. The first
number just rings and rings, whilst the second number rings once and
then cuts out.
Email contact is equally difficult. [email protected] is
immediately returned unknown. The other email address I have used is [email protected]
, which gives an automated reply promising to contact as soon as
possible - that was ten days ago.
The person who set up the hotel’s website has long since disappeared
and he/she seems to have removed all the paperwork relating to the
website so I am unable to log in to the existing client area at
GlobalCityWeb.
I have created a new hotel website using Rapidweaver on my iMac, which
I intend to host on Little Oak. However I cannot proceed without co-
operation from GlobalWebCity.
Can anyone help? Our current website is badly out of date, and is
causing severe problems for the hotel. We cannot - it appears - do
anything without GlobalCityWeb’s co-operation.
