I gave in and bought a Kodak ESP 7250. The cartridges are around £12+ for
colour and £6+ for black.
It is no noisier than any other printer, it's no slower than any other printer.
However, if you use cheap A4 paper, the colour is not so good. Fine for Black
print.
If you use the Kodak "intelligent" paper or photo paper then the results are
really good.
I bought the printer two and a half months ago. I've had heavyish print runs
for posters and photos and I had to change the colour cartridge this week.

On the whole, as satisfactory as the HP,Epsom and Canon I have had, but
considerably cheaper.
