Have you tried an SMC reset? Power cable out for 30 secs then reattach. How about resetting the PRAM?
1) none of them work.
2) have tried D, option key down, you name it, with three different keyboards.

SMC - yes, and also PRAm.

If the motherboard is damaged, then I want a new machine, correct?
