Ranulph, My personal experience with iCloud has been pretty faultless. I use a UniBody MacBook Pro 15", and iPad 2 and an iPhone 4. I was a subscriber to MobileMe so, when 10.7.3 was released, I followed the instructions and 'Moved' MobileMe to iCloud.
iCal seemed a little squirrelly with regards to pushing events and changes to the 2 portable devices (and vice-versa) so I downloaded and tried the 30 Day demo of BusyCal which I now use exclusively and there's no problems with the calendars on the hand-helds. >From my client's experiences, the biggest problems appear to be being suffered >by people who didn't have a MobileMe account and just jump straight into >iCloud without doing a little research and following the instructions. If you >follow the instructions (read them twice before you start) you should be OK. >People who are former MobileMe subscribers have generally had the same >experience as mine. There is one thing thats worth mentioning. OutLook 2011 for Mac does not and will not sync its calendar or address book via iCloud which is weird because OutLook running under Vista or Windoze 7 does, through the iCloud Control Panel in Windows. Having said all that, its really simple to migrate from OutLook to Mac Mail, AddressBook and BusyCal. Chris Webb .
