It's more likely to be the router that's having problems connecting to the 
iPad, TalkTalk in itself is just an ISP, they provide the internet connection 
to your router, beyond that isn't their department.

Try purchasing a better router, like one of the mid-range netgear ones, and see 
if that's any better than the cheap rubbish TalkTalk give out for free ;)
