I'm down in Worthing visiting mum who is now in a nursing home. We have a
very useful iPad in her room which family members can use to show her
photos, take video, do e-mail and other iPaddy stuff but it needs backing
up. I have a MBP that could do the job but its memory is full of Flip Video
clips (256 Gb worth) which I want to put somewhere else. I have to do all
this today while I'm here so yesterday I was looking for somewhere in
Worthing to buy a hard drive. Unfortunately shops were closing and I missed
the one in Goring which closed at 5. However I popped in to Tesco and there
was a selection of hard drives on offer and not knowing better (!) I asked
whether the Seagate Expansion Drive (500 GB) was compatible with a MacBook
Pro and the obliging guy on Tesco Electrics assured me it was. Now I've got
it open it seems it only wants to 'play' if I've got a Windows OS. Is there
a way round this? What should I have bought (available in Tesco) or where
in Worthing should I go today? Any help much appreciated.
Tilly
