Using 1Password (for example, and maybe others are the same) ... once
the product is installed, just visit each site in turn as you normally
would. As you enter each site, 1Password will offer to remember them.
Job done. Except you then need to go back to selected systems and have a
generated/complex password generated to replace the easily-guessed ones.
My 1Password setup currently has 450 login/password combinations in it.
When you next visit a site, just have 1Password complete the login for
you. You can sync everything to other devices (iPhones/iPads) via
DropBox, so you have everything available for logging on there too.

It's not that bad really:
Buy a password manager - I'd suggest 1Password (
https://agilebits.com/onepassword ) but I'm sure there are others.
Wait for a rainy, grim day, grey blanket overcast day
Get a nice cup of tea/coffee and some cake
Work through them slowly putting each relevant one in your new application
Breathe a long sigh of relief.
Have more tea/coffee and cake and congratulate yourself on a job well
done.
You may want to rinse and repeat with the most important ones and use
your new application's options for generating complex passwords and
update your "paSSword123" passwords (!??!) but probably not needed all
at once.

"I can hardly say [to my son], 'Darling, do all this training and the
best thing will be Celebrity Dog Watch'. Take away the talent shows,
celebrity cook shows, skating, dog training, dancing, putting people
on an island - and what's left? "I've been asked to go on all of
them," [Nicholas Lyndhurst] admitted.

Yes, I now understand. Thanks all.
I'm also realising that I really do need to start using some kind of
password management app. Bit of a daunting prospect though 'cause I
have s many different bloody passwords (all scribbled on a piece of
paper - I should probably keep it under the mattress).

Here's a couple of lists I've seen today ...
http://mashable.com/2014/04/09/heartbleed-bug-websites-affected/ (a
bit US-biased)
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/internet-security/10756807/Heartbleed-bug-which-passwords-should-you-change.html?placement=CB1
Not all sites are affected. For example, my hosting company was
running a back-level version of OpenSSL (but patched) so none of my
https sites hosted for customers would be affected.
