Dear All, Finally, with a genius showing me the way, I did manage to get my iTunes stuff on my machine, mainly. I find some has vanished into iCloud, but I expect I'll find out how to fix this. Thanks to all for your help.
However (there's always one of these, isn't there) I have now got duplicates, and to make things worse they double up together, so I have, for the affected albums, track 1 followed by track 1, and then track 2 followed by track 2, track 3 followed by etc. Is there any way I can deal with this, preferably without checking through every item in my music library.
