I have courtesy of RNIB `OverDrive Media Console` an app to play talking books. Often but not always iTunes launches itself and starts playing when we start the talking book, both playing together is an interesting but irritating effect! I have to close iTunes sometimes more than once before it takes the hint that it`s not wanted! I have trawled through iTunes preferences without seeing any setting that seems to me to be relevant that might curb iTunes enthusiasm to play. I guess I`m missing something obvious! Keith
