Hi there Last night my wife was watching a DVD on her Macbook (2008 Alu unibody) and let the battery die whilst watching it, thus the computer went to sleep/off.
She tried to reboot it today and it won't boot... the Finder never fully loads and one only gets the rainbow pizza wheel (left it for up to 8mins). There is no sound of the HDD working, and no response to any key commands (such as quitting the Finder). The same thing happens in safe mode, and I've also reset the PRAM but to no affect. The only way to turn it off is hold down the power button. Any ideas? Really hoping I've not got to find the install disks and start again?
