40? I have hundreds - every website that I order from gets a unique address
with a purchasing prefix; forums are again unique with a community identifier;
same goes for mailing lists plus a handful of other domains for different
profiles in various different organisations and interests.

All end up (via some custom address level filtering on a 3rd party host) in one
mailbox with a commercial provider that permits multiple aliases/ domains on a
single account. Custom filtering allows me to blacklist various addresses that
attract large amounts of spam due to unscrupulous or insecure vendors/hosts

Makes it very easy to identify the fake emails purporting to be from leading
online retailers, service providers and banks. Cost is less than £40/year and
something I would very much recommend to anyone with high volumes of email.
