Thanks, Sam, for your reply to my query about Safari sometimes not connecting. You suggest upgrading to 10.11 or 10.12, if the machine will take that. Mine is about 5 years old, 21” 2.66GHz 2GB memory Intel core 2 duo – that’s what is says on the label. I only use it for accessing fishing and gardening sites, emails, family photos and Facebook. No games, music or downloading long films etc. I don’t mind if it slows down a bit.
Is installing an SSD a major job, or would it be cheaper and better to invest in a MiniMac (I already have a fairly new Ilyama 19” screen lying spare). Cost is important as I’m a pensioner (Boo Hoo!)
